ABOUT THE SUPERVISOR

Supervision grounded in clinical depth

Daniel Wright is a clinical psychologist and Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor based in Geelong. His supervision practice draws on clinical experience across private Medicare, NDIS, TAC, WorkCover, DVA and medicolegal assessment — which provides a distinctive foundation for supervising colleagues navigating complex clinical and systemic challenges.

Supervision at Daybreak Psychology is structured and purposeful, tailored to the supervisee's developmental stage and professional goals. Particular emphasis is placed on ethical reasoning, navigating complex systems, including compensation schemes, and developing a grounded clinical identity.

Daniel is currently completing a PhD in bioethics at the University of Melbourne. This academic grounding informs a supervision practice that takes seriously the ethical dimensions of clinical work — not as an afterthought, but as central to good clinical practice.

WHAT IS AVAILABLE

Supervision — ongoing

Ongoing clinical supervision is available for qualified psychologists seeking regular reflective practice and collegial support. Sessions are structured around case discussion, clinical reasoning and professional development rather than formal supervisory assessment.

Peer consultation — one-off

One-off peer consultation sessions are available for qualified psychologists seeking a second clinical opinion on a complex or challenging case. Particularly suited to practitioners working with compensation, medicolegal or ethically complex presentations.

Registrar supervision — secondary

Daniel is available as a secondary supervisor for Clinical Psychology Registrars and registrars undertaking other areas of endorsement. Secondary supervision provides specialist clinical input alongside the primary supervisor relationship.
